CERTAINLY WORTH IT

Hilary....
certainly worth it!!

I was also student in LINC 4-5.
upon arrival in Canada thought that life had ended for me.
I thought about returning many times.
It's another country, another culture, other people with different interests.
What is the solution?
First:
Work to live
Second:
Study at the same time.
This will only a stage, then life will come again.
Do not hesitate ever. Coming here was worth it

The time has come!!

The last day came over and I have to finish.I Have lived difficult and happy times in Canada. But many of the last one have been in MicroSkills.
We often hear the phrase about the language is the key in Canada.
Today I would like to thank those who made keys,TEACHERS, who do their best for all us to integrate into this society and have the opportunity to become what we once dreamed.
To all Microskills's Workers, thanks. Starting with Tania that one day called me to start,to Donald as tour guide and Josef as always cheerful teacher. To my friend Ken from Korea that I know he will be a famous doctor in Canada.
And especially to all students that with their dialogues and discussions enabled me to improve my language.

We shall meet again

Childrens Education vs Parents-teachers.

Children are the most important because ...

In this issue I have some experiences because I have 4 children. One in the university in my country, 2 here in Toronto in high school and one smaller 7 years old in primary school.

It is well known to all that the family is represented by a family tree where our ancestors were tree roots and we were in the branches, now years later we became roots and our children became branches of the new tree. To get fruit from a tree we must make it grow healthy and strong and it takes time, we must care for and feed every day.

Is difficult to try to educate and correct problems in our children when they are big, that we do throughout their lives. Each stage is important and dangerous at the same time. Our home is your first school and your school is your second home, parents who live in their first house we have to check their works, their books, their concerns and their results and always encourage them with (OK, Beautiful, Excellent, Congratulations, Do you need Help?) all that makes them better every day.Make them feel that they are useful and the most important for us.

Are very important their second parents living in the school ( teachers), and in that is the secret of the education of children; constant communication between parents and teachers, they should never feel alone, they should feel that the teaching comes from both sides.

I realize that in Canada, education depends on a high percent of the sacrifice of the parents. We are working very hard every day but we have to save a little time for their works and their lives.

The success is in our hands, if we follow the sage advices of our parents and now apply it to our children then the tree will bear fruits even when the ground is not fertile.

My personal experiences are that they are my children and my friends at the same time.

Always worth.

Since the idea of coming to Canada appeared, my friends and my family told me that it was crazy.

I thought that the idea was not THE BEST. The final day came, the plane took off on July 12 2009 and 3 hours and 20 minutes later landed in Toronto´s airport, my new dream was in front of me.

As every dream, this one was far from reality.Sometimes the dreams are not real.

At first there were many setbacks, I only brought part of my family and my pockets empty, but I had always with me a great faith in God and God's word came true. Friends appeared and hands to help us, the roads were not closed, God was with us.

The most difficult emigrant´s moment
had arrived, to seek an employment to support the family.

20 days after I got my driver's license and it gave me the chance to move into a larger radius to find work and go to work because I have bought an use car.

I started English school that was in Costi Caledonia, every day my travel delayed 1 hour and 40 minutes to get to school, it was during the summer because Microskill was closed. Finished the summer and I got Consumer's rd. which is near to my house.

Now life is easier to me.I started working in a factory and my wife also started with me.

The language was improving, and life too. Here in Consumer´s I have known wonderful people and I have saw that these people have the same problems as me and they had lived the same experiences .This gave me courage and strength to move forward with our project.
I started to realize that my children are learning to speak English and even speak it better than me, then I give thanks the Lord.
My English school have helped me to insert myself in Canadian culture and in addition to knowing everything about the system. What else can I ask and expect in just 6 months?.
I think the effort that
my family and I made worth.

The last word belongs to my children .

Begining a new year

We can not finish a year without sitting down a minute to reflect.

We must first look back and think What we did do right, What we did do wrong?.

We have to remember not to repeat our mistakes.

Then we must look ahead put and set a new direction with new goals and objectives, and to have always in our plans to put family first.

This country is for those who sacrifice for their own future and the future of their family. We must never forget God as creator of this beautiful world .

Always remember that the first and most important thing in our lives of immigrants is to learn the language. It is the key to unlock the treasures that await.

Keep calm, we have a whole life ahead and people who want to help and teach us are beside us.

2010 is right ahead our noses.

Forward March! ,

200 Consumer's Road

I'm sure that behind these funny ideas are the Josef's hands.
People like him bring us happy moments.
From time to time change is good, otherwise life becomes boring.
Next Tuesday is a long awaited day for all.Moving to 200 Consumer's Road.

Do we change only the number?
